How Much Does HubSpot Cost?

If you’re reading about CRM online, odds are you have a pretty good knowledge of HubSpot’s dominance in that industry. And if you know anything about them as a vendor, you know their seat of dominance is well-deserved. From Sales Hub to HubSpot Academy and everything in between, they’re an incredibly versatile vendor that can fit a wide array of businesses across the board. However, with any software, price is an insurmountable hurdle; you need to address it at some point. So, at the end of the day, how much does HubSpot cost?

HubSpot Pricing Tiers

One of the reasons HubSpot is such a widely used platform across all industries and all business sizes is its price accessibility. HubSpot offers multiple tiers of pricing for different levels of businesses to make sure they cover the full spectrum: from the smallest of small businesses to the largest of enterprise titans, there’s probably a HubSpot package that makes sense for you.

Start Ups and Small Businesses

Despite its status as an industry leading vendor, HubSpot takes care to not price out the little guy with enterprise level costs. Because they have a vested interest in helping businesses grow and scale, HubSpot offers several pricing options for smaller teams looking to expand their businesses to the next level.

  1. Free Tools: No, that’s not a typo. You read that right. HubSpot offers FREE tools for any business that wants them. Granted, these represent a very stripped-down version of what the platform can do, but the ability to get started with HubSpot at zero cost is huge for businesses either just starting out, or larger firms who are slowly phasing HubSpot into their organization. Think of it as a HubSpot: Training Wheels Edition.
  2. Starter Customer Platform:  The Starter tier is designed for small businesses that are just getting started with inbound marketing. It includes access to the starter versions of Marketing Hub (with a cap of 1,000 contacts), Sales Hub, Service Hub, Content Hub, Operations Hub and Commerce Hub. At $15 a month/seat, it’s a great way to sink your teeth into HubSpot’s major products without paying for way more than your small team needs.

For Medium and Enterprise Sized Businesses

  1. Professional Customer Platform: The Professional Customer is ideal for growing businesses that need more advanced marketing tools. Like the starter platform, users get access to all the major HubSpot products, but with some expansions. Marketing Hub’s contact cap moves up to 2,000, Sales Hub gets slots for up to 15 million products and up to 5,000 email templates, Service Hub gets up to 25 dashboards, and the Content Hub gets up to 10 active lists and 1,000 static lists, just to name a few. The Professional Customer platform will run you $1,080 per month. Further seats can be worked in for $45 a month.
  2. Enterprise Customer Platform: One of the most robust offerings HubSpot has to offer, the Enterprise platform really does live up to its name. Very few limits exist at this tier of HubSpot, giving the most amount of breathing room and freedom to large-scale organizations. The HubSpot ecosystem is working at max capacity here, and users can opt in for $4,000 a month. The Enterprise package accommodates additional seats available for $75/month.

HubSpot gives users pricing calculators to determine their exact spend on a transaction or a bundle purchase.

HubSpot Seat Prices

In a relatively recent pricing shakeup, HubSpot has removed the seat minimum in ALL of its pricing tiers. Previously, you needed a certain number of users in a given price package (Five seats in Professional, Seven seats in Enterprise, etc.) This is no longer the case. Now, customers can buy into any tier of HubSpot with any number of seats.

How the seats are quantified has changed, however., Now, HubSpot users can be classified into two distinct categories: Core Seats and View Only Seats. Core Seats will give edit access to purchased Hubs, grant access to HubSpot’s cross-platform AI products and features and connect teams to HubSpot’s Smart CRM.  View-Only Seats, which are free and unlimited for paid portals, will give visibility to those who don’t require edit access.

These changes were made with customer scalability and growth in-mind. Now seats and pricing will no longer be as large of a hurdle as your business (and your team) expands. And the addition of View Only seats enables businesses to have as many people as possible up-to-speed with the ins and outs of the system.
